A visible default.
Keep card identity, recognisable last digits and a route to controls together.
A Nothing-inspired payment experience connecting card control, everyday payments and spending context. An independent product design concept.
Explore the experience ↓Nothing Pay explores how a wallet can feel coherent with a Nothing phone while keeping the selected card, payment action and transaction status clear. The design study documents the design rationale and 35 screen states.
Nothing phone owners who move between payment cards and want a readable record of everyday spending.
Product UX/UI, information architecture, card setup, payment feedback, spending insights and a visual component system.
Design concept.
UX/UI and interaction design.
Everyday payment tasks need clear answers: which card is selected, whether the payment is ready, and whether it has finished. When card identity and transaction status compete with secondary information, the next step can become harder to recognise. A transaction list also needs context to make spending patterns understandable.
Bring the selected card and payment actions into focus, then give each state a distinct role. Card setup offers scan, manual, bank-linking and virtual-card routes, with review before confirmation. A dedicated payment result shows the amount and status, while period-based Insights organise spending before revealing transaction detail.
Three priorities that guide the experience.
Keep card identity, recognisable last digits and a route to controls together.
Pair the payment result with its amount and a clear next action.
Show period, total and categories before an optional breakdown.

The study separates published brand evidence from design inference. Owner interviews and task sessions remain proposed. A provisional persona and a six-week plan are illustrative, not completed research.
Independent concept; not an official Nothing product. Payments, bank connections and verification are simulated. Production authentication, declines and recovery require further design.
